What a great show. You BC folk really know how to git 'er done right! Hardworking volunteers, lots of great sponsorship (many thanks to them) and of course, the competitors who showed us how hard work pays off in the ring. Congratulations - I was honored to be asked to take part this year. Hope to see you all next year - in the meantime, I will be working on that song playlist!

Our 2011 judges:

Morgan is a well known judge, horse trainer and showman. He has been an active participant in the horse industry for over 40 years. He is the youngest of 8 sons born in a ranching family in northern Alberta. Morgan has shown extensively in such events as working cowhorse, reining, cutting, western riding, western pleasure and halter. He is responsible for many winners in shows and snaffle bit futurities.

Morgan has judged such events as the prestigious All American Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio, the World Championship Quarter Horse Show and the Youth World. It has been his pleasure to teach clinics and judge in many countries including Germany, England, Australia, Brazil, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria, France, Israel and in his homeland of Canada. Morgan is an AQHA, NRCHA, and NRHA judge.

In 1993 Morgan with his wife, Larue and 5 sons moved to Texas. They are happy to say that they now have 4 daughters in law and 12 grandchildren.

has been training and showing horses since the age of fifteen. He has trained many AQHA Champions and has won awards in Cutting, Reining and Pleasure. He has placed in the top six of the NCHA Futurity, the NRHA Futurity, and has won the Congress Pleasure Horse Futurity.

He served on the AQHA Judges Committee for 10 years. He holds judging cards in the NRHA, NRCHA, NCHA, AQHA and FEI. He has judged the AQHA World Championships ten times and the AJQHA World Championships four times. He has judged the NRHA Futurity, The NRHA Derby;, The NCHA Futurity, the NCHA Derby, the NRCHA Futurity, the Australia World Championships, and the APHA Paint World Championships. He has also judged and conducted clinics in Austria, Australia, England, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Israel.

He will be inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame on June 30, 2011. Ronald and his wife Jeanne and his son, Roy, currently raise, train, breed and develop horses for the public at their ranch in Hamilton, Texas.
